We booked this hotel in a short notice because our flight was canceled and my husband wanted to stay in the old city center (as the previous accommodation). We knew the area, so I booked here, although I knew that there are construction works around (metro station in progress). We are the kind of people that don't have too many requirements from the accommodation during vacation because we like to visit a lot and explore. - The personnel is very friendly, they are at the reception 24/7 and the location of the hotel is perfect. - We asked for other things to visit and we got very good info from the girls. - The hotel is located close to everything you need to visit (by foot) and it has a lot of restaurants / shops / places to eat around. - Although the hotel is a bit outdated, we felt much better here than in the previous accommodation (which was a fully equipped apartment) due to the cozy space. - I had concerns about the noise from the constructions around, but if the window is closed it does not bother and the works did not happen during the evening/night so it was perfect. - We could also pay for late checkout: 10 euros for checkout at 14:30 (instead of 11:30) which was great because our flight was late in the afternoon and this was a big advantage. - A little fridge into the room would have been a blessing. But it's a hotel, so this is not a must have, given the fact that you have a lot of places to eat around the area. - Great value for the money.

The location is perfect - it's so close to the train station and in a very good location. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was very convenient having an elevator (the first floor is stairs though but it's spacious so you can take your time). The room was alright... not the best... we even got one that was supposedly remodeled and it was alright. It had a mini-fridge and was semi-spacious. The walls looked dirty and wasn't nice. The shower floor looked dirty too. The room was clean though, it just looked dirty and gross. The shower was nice and hot - I loved that it was a waterfall shower. It was powerful and nice. The cleaning staff were all very friendly. We had a balcony but I didn't use it. The room was facing the back and it was very quiet. So that was a plus because I read other hotels were very loud - ours was very quiet and we slept nice. The AC was strong and good. The room felt muggy though when you first walk in. The location is great - walking distance to a lot of major attractions. Lots of restaurants nearby. A souvenir shop right next to the hotel that sold water, snacks, etc. which was convenient since it was open late. Overall... it was alright. The location is great so you can't beat that, but not sure I'd stay here again. For the price, I expected the rooms to be nicer.

I stayed here solo after walking Camino Portoguese. Excellent budget priced hotel in centre of Porto. Hotel, reception, room, bed, shower were all excellent and spotless. with tv and aircon. The hotel is a short walking distance to Porto Cathedral, Torre dos Clergios, Sao Bento Railway Station and a nice stretch of the legs to the Duoro River, Luis I Bridge and other attractions. The Metro at Trindade is 7 mins walk to take to airport. Shops, restaurants and other services are nearby even one of the busiest MacDonalds i've ever seen a few doors down.

The hotel is in a perfect location and just in few minutes walk to famous attractions. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, we asked for hot water for a tea to have in room and also for an iron, and they gladly provided us with these. The room didn’t have a nice city view from window, but since we almost were not present in a hotel and roaming the city, it really didn’t matter. Else, room had everything essential, and enough space.

Very central location of the city, extremely close to the train station and metro station, all main sights are in walking distance. The staff was very helpful and kind, room had very good size (bigger size), looked decent and modern, bathroom renovated, the elevator is a huge advantage. Bathroom was very clean (generally room and all was cleaned daily) and the room had even a balcony and little fridge. We were very satisfied.
